This Week at LPHS

We just wrapped up a great week to be a Railsplitter!  After our girls' bowling team won the first Regional Championship for LP in quite some time and then finished 10th in the state, our boys' basketball team followed suite and won a district championship on Friday night.  Saturday night, the LP DECA team represented well and Francisco Hernandez won a state championship in Business Finance Services!  In addition, the folks from Cognia could not say enough positive about the work you do every day at LPHS.  We will touch on this more on Tuesday, but it feels good to rebound from where we were 3 short weeks ago and follow it up with a more accurate representation!

Check out below for details on the week ahead!

Monday:

* Mrs. Orzol's AP Government and Mrs. Doyle's Teacher Training classes completed a Women's History Month slide show to be shared during your fifth hour.  You can find that slide show here.  Please share two slides per day to make it through.  This is very well done and it's awesome to see student input in this presentation!

* 5:30: LPHS Varsity Boys' Basketball vs. Woodhaven at River Rouge in the first round of regionals.

Tuesday

* Early Release, Dismissal at 1:43

* Early Release and Staff Meeting - 1:48-3:48 in the LPHS Media Center

* Fourth Hour SEL Lesson - Please complete the lesson for Week Six found here.

* Happy Birthdays to Leslie Barragan, Julie Laurin, and Jason Caltabiano!

Thursday

* Happy Birthday, Patricia Buck!
