Baby Scafone-Haffner

Congratulations to the Scafone-Haffner family on the birth of Sawyer Eliot Scafone-Haffner.  Both mom and Sawyer and doing great!

  

This Week at LPHS, October 7 - 11

This week at LPHS features our Annual DECA Fundraiser that culminates in the charity football game on Friday night vs. Taylor.  This year, the DECA group has chosen our very own ASD Program as the beneficiary of their hard work.  Any support you can provide is greatly appreciated!

One other item of note are the early returns on our attendance policy and the attention that is being paid to student attendance this year.  As of Friday, we only had 15 students in the high school that had not been counted in all of their hours during the count period.  This number is usually significantly higher.  With enrollment up, having this count period being by far the best in recent history, is a good sign.  Thanks for all of your hard work in communicating this with our students.

Monday:

Tuesday:

* During the Two Minute Drill for this week, I will be doing an update on the health clinic as well as making a push for students to return more of their medical consent papers that will allow them to get services in the clinic.  You will have some of these forms in your mailbox on Tuesday morning, please have them on hand and distribute to students that need them.  Remind them that they also received one during registration.  I am going to ask that these papers be turned in to you on Wednesday.  Please return these to the main office as they are returned.  I am asking that you not send these papers down with other students as they may have sensitive information on them.  

* Early Release Meeting: This week's early release meetings will be spent with departments from both the high school and the middle school.  Please see the schedule below. 

Wednesday: 

* Staff Member Flu Shots (If you signed up) in the LPHS Auditorium

* DECA Meeting following school in the LPHS Media Center

Thursday: 

* Picture Retakes - Please pay attention to the announcements for this.  We would like to make sure all students that do not have a picture in MiStar have their picture taken.  If you know of one of these students that are in your class when we make the announcements, please make sure that you send them to the auditorium.  

* NHS Meeting in the media center immediately following school. 

Friday: 

* DECA Fundraiser Game at 7:00 pm
