ELL Students and Resources

On the right hand side of this blog site is the spot for all of our staff links.  These have all been updated for this school year.  Today, I added links for our ELL Students as well as ELL Resources that can be provided to them. 

We have a large portion of our student population that would benefit from these services.  Take a look at them and keep in mind that they may be useful for non-ELL students as well.

This Week at LPHS, September 17 - 21

We are off to a fast start here at LPHS and we are already in week 3.  I will be doing an additional post this week with information for you on ELL Students and resources that benefit all of our kids. 

Tuesday: 

Staff Meeting, 2:50-3:50 in the Media Center.  We are going to reschedule the PSP to next week's early release so that we can present some information regarding PBIS, school data and other building news. 

PR Photo Shoot: At 1:00, a photo team will be arriving to take some photos in various locations in our building.  They will be here until 5:00.  The purpose of this visit is to have some photos to run with the positive stories that have been increasing for LPPS

This week at LPHS, September 10-14

Good Morning,

We do not have a very busy week at LPHS, so this is the perfect opportunity for you to continue to develop positive and impactful relationships within your classrooms.  Please remember to use the circles proactively as the school year progresses.  If you are unsure of how to use them, we have many experts in the building, just ask!

Just in case you forgot, we do have the staff sign up for after school activities.  All staff is supposed to work two events throughout the course of the year.  Click here if you have not already signed up. 

Also, one last reminder that there should be no extra appliances plugged in in your classrooms.  I know I sent this out before most of you returned.  If you have not done so already, please make sure these are removed.

New Teacher/Support Staff Meeting in Ms. Jasso's room (249) right after school.

Thursday:

* Please share LPHS Code of Conduct/Handbook with students during second hour.  As a part of this conversation, please make sure that you highlight the resources available to students, including the RTC, counselors, administration and you guys!  (Sheets for students to sign will be in your mailboxes on Thursday morning.  Please return to AP offices by correct alphabet when completed.)
