 Monday: 

* There will be a video sent out first hour for you to show students in regards to last week's incident at LPHS and plans moving forward.  Please show it in the last 10 minutes of your first hour class.  

* Black History Month Movie Night, LPHS Auditorium - Black Panther will start at 7:00 pm and there will be popcorn and pop for sale.  All are welcome.  

Tuesday: 

* Early Release Day, Meeting time will be used for preparation to administer state assessments - more info to follow.

* All ELA Classes administering the MIPHY survey.  Please see emails from Mr. Kraft on February 7, and February 11, for more information.  This survey must be given, per the State of Michigan. 

* Early Release Meeting - Special Ed Teachers to attend Medicaid Training Meeting starting at 1:45 - You MUST register ahead of time here.  Other staff will have tasks to complete either with departments or individually until 2:43 (more info to come.) All staff to report to the Media Center at 2:48 for staff meeting until 3:48.

This Week at LPHS, February 7-11

This week will mark our Coming Home Celebration.  This was a big hit when we introduced it in February of 2020, so hopefully we will be able to get some of that fun experience back.  Included in this is a spirit week to help celebrate.  

A couple of reminders about the week, please be as encouraging as possible to our students that take the WIDA.  This is often something that our students do begrudgingly, but it is very important and your encouragement can go a long way.  This should include a reminder that if they pass it, they don't have to take it again!  Please see below for more details of the week ahead.

* Staff Meeting Cancelled - Instead I'd like to have as many of you as possible support our students by attending the PowderBuff game on Monday afternoon or the Coming Home Games/Dance Friday night if you are available.  You all know that I have said this repeatedly, but these are the events that really help to make the connections with our students and allow our job to be most rewarding!
