Thank you to everyone that played a part in making homecoming week as spectacular as it was! From hallway decorating, to dance supervision and everything in between, what you do makes a difference! It truly was a great week for our staff and students and a great kickoff to the year!
This week is far less eventful, and provides the opportunity for us to buckle down. We will be in classrooms this week, kicking off the HQI process for our teaching staff. These High Quality Instruction walks are designed to be coaching towards improving instruction. If you have questions following one of your visits, please make sure that you ask to discuss this with the administrator that has completed it.

This Week at LPHS, 9/23 - 9/28, Homecoming Week!
Hello LPHS Staff,
This week is one of my favorites of the year. It's a time for us to celebrate being Railsplitters! This year, we've tried to make is at action packed and eventful as possible in order to make it extra special. Please check out the calendar below for all of the information on the week.
Monday:
* Spirit Day - Sports Day
* Powder Puff Football Game, 6:30 LPHS Stadium - Come watch Coach Kish and the Senior and Freshmen class ladies take on Coach Celsi and the Sophomores and Juniors!
* Happy Birthday, David Carter!
Tuesday:
* Spirit Day - Circus Themed
* Early Release - Dismissal at 1:45, Meeting to begin at 1:55 in the LPHS Media Center
* PSP Due for all staff
* Meet the Candidate Lunch
* Academic Excellence Awards, 7:00 - LPHS Auditorium
* Happy Birthday, Nancy Volttatorni!
Wednesday:
* Spirit Day - Wacky Wednesday
* Motivational Speaker, First hour will dismiss 10 minutes early at 8:38 am. Students will report to their second hour class where attendance will be taken and then classes will be called down to the Auditorium for the motivational speaker. Second hour will dismiss from there. (Please make sure to sit with your classes in the assigned spaces.)
* Link Crew Event - Cookies and Clubs at dismissal - Please encourage your freshmen to attend!

* Voting for King and Queen will take place during fourth hour and lunches, and will end at 12:45.

This Week at LPHS: September 16-20
Hello All,
Thank you for what has been a really great start to the school year. Your extra efforts to build relationships early will certainly pay off in the long run this school year.

As powerful as that was, this past week's episode featured choir director Anthony White hearing about how powerful his work has been from the children in his choir. Check that out below:

This Week at LPHS, September 9-13
Hello All,
Thank you for an excellent first week of school. This week we get to settle in to things, dive in to curriculum and keep working on those relationships. It was great to see so many teachers in the hallway this week and to experience all of the positive energy! Check out below for details on the week ahead.
We are going to discontinue the 3rd Hour Attendance Sheets this week. Thank you for working to make sure this is accurate thus far. Please continue to make sure that your attendance in MiStar is accurate. This is always important, but is critically so early in the year.

* BTN Meeting, Committee Members Only, 7:00 AM, Media Center Conference Room
* The Two Minute Drill will be emailed out Monday Afternoon and is to be shown during fourth hour on Tuesday.

* National Honor Society Meeting, 2:55, LPHS Media Center
